The Abolitionist is a twice a year magazine, promoting abolitionism and reason within animal rights.
We are abolitionist in intention, which means we believe all animals (human or non-human) require a right not to be treated as property, and thus believe veganism and the abolition of animal use to be the baseline of the animal rights movement. An explanation of abolitionism, and its difference from the other forms of animal advocacy can be found here. A good explanation of why we advocate veganism can be found here.

There are no specific guidelines, except that the article must be abolitionist in position (ie., doesn’t promote welfarism or new welfarism) and be related to animal rights or veganism.
